Among many other exciting features, the 2015 She Rocks Awards held on Jan. 23 in Anaheim, Calif., offered a raffle and silent auction with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Girls Rock Camp Alliance.
Gina DelJones from Summit, N.J., took home a big surprise when she found out she was the lucky winner of the stunning limited edition Gretsch G6136T Falcon in Creme de Marine, generously donated by Gretsch Guitars.
Although DelJones isn’t a guitarist, it didn’t take long for her to start playing the instrument. She serendipitously sat at the same table as Marlene Hutchinson, a guitarist, teacher and author of Learn to Play Guitar in a Day!
Now DelJones is able to fulfill her dream of learning how to play the guitar, thanks to Gretsch Guitars, Hutchinson and the She Rocks Awards.
