Musicians Institute (M.I.) announced the winner of the inaugural Spring 2014 Jennifer Batten Independent Artist Scholarship, singer-songwriter Natalie Hosseini, who came to M.I. specializing in contemporary and blue-eyed soul genres.

Funded in part by the WiMN, the Jennifer Batten Independent Artist Scholarship helps provide talented students with the support, tools and recognition they need to launch successful and creative careers in the music industry.

Hosseini’s dreams and career aspirations include to “tour the world and inspire others to pursue their dreams.” She also shared that some of her goals are reaching a worldwide fan base, writing/producing an album that includes an EDM/dubstep sound, and to be a role-model to other young girls that are struggling with the same issues she struggled with.

The WiMN extends heartfelt congratulations to Hosseini for being the worthy recipient of the first Jennifer Batten Independent Artist scholarship, and wishes her the best while pursuing her academic endeavors.
