Screen Shot 2016-07-08 at 9.35.02 AMSince 2010 musician Lanny Cordola has focused on musical projects aimed at raising awareness, resources and funds for some of the most vulnerable children in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In the wake of his work in these regions, Lanny has formed his own non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization called the Miraculous Love Kids, based on the premise that “it shouldn’t hurt to be a child.”

His Girl With A Guitar program brings guitar instruction to girls living in unimaginable conditions. Currently, The Miraculous Love Kids / Girl with a Guitar is assisting 50 kids (including eight suicide bomb attack survivors) with their welfare, education and guitar lessons. Also, Lanny travels throughout Afghanistan and Pakistan, playing and teaching children in schools, refugee and internally displaced persons (IDP) camps.

As Lanny says, “Recently we began a project called ‘Girl with a Guitar’ – teaching young neglected girls how to play this glorious instrument. Tor when a kid has a melody they have hope and with hope all things are possible.”

Talk about the power of music!

Cordola has been in the biz for quite some time, and has collaborated with such highly regarded musicians as Slash, and Gilby Clarke from Guns N’ Roses, John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin from the TV show Full House, the Beach Boys, Donovan, Robbie Wykoff and Harry Waters from the Roger Waters Band, Nancy Sinatra, Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray, Moby, Sen Dog from Cypress Hill and several others. He has also created music with world music figures, such as singers Atif Aslam and Sanam Marvi of Pakistan, Wahid Qasimi from Afghanistan, and D2 from Bulgaria.
