Carrie Underwood made history as the artist with the most Country Music Television Awards (CMT Buckles) under her name with three Buckles earned during the awards ceremony on June 10.
Many news sources this year have been reporting about country music edging out women, and it having a serious gender imbalance problem. Underwood took a stand for all women to showcase just how powerful they can be in the country scene, as well as in the music industry as a whole.
