Some of the best songs ever released were written by someone other than the artist. They receive little recognition and often go unnoticed. And sometimes, those writers go on to record their own music. Like legendary hip hop artist Missy Elliott, who wrote for notable singers Timbaland, Aaliyah, Faith Evans, and Beyonce before embarking on her own career.

Songwriter Caroline Brooks has decided to do the same.

Her writing talents boast an impressive list of hit songs for artists like Natalie Imbruglia and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue. The list continues on collaborations with renowned producer/songwriters Giorgio Moroder (Daft Punk), Paul Williams (David Bowie, Daft Punk), and David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood). Her writing skills have also been recognized in songs placed in a Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial, and for popular TV shows like The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, and most recently Famous in Love.

In August 2017, she released her new single, “Landmines” under the name BELLSAINT.  Her sound is described as reminiscent of a modern-day Nancy Sinatra meets Sia and Adele. BELLSAINT gained ground with their first original song “Bang Bang (Remember My Name).”, which made it’s way into the trailer for ABC Family’s Famous In Love.

When she isn’t writing and recording, BELLSAINT spends her spare time volunteering as a coach at LA’s Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls and teaching songwriting to at-risk youth girls at Awaken Arts.
