5 Qualities Successful Women Share

The music industry is ever-changing. Whether you’re in the music business or involved in the creative side of the industry, there is no straight path to success as there are a million different routes to take at all times.

I have been honoured to have had conversations with successful women in all areas of the business. Every single story I’ve heard resulted in the same lesson: it wasn’t easy.

Like a garden, you need to cultivate yourself regularly to see growth.

Here are 5 essential qualities that are shared by successful women I have met along my music journey.

#1 They are constantly persevering

What often separates a leader is not someone who is given opportunity, but someone who perseveres when there is no opportunity. They are constantly creating new doors for themselves to open, regardless of the roadblocks that have happened in the past.

#2 They value relationship

The me, myself, and I mentality in any industry is not an option. Empires are built by a group of people who share a common goal and mindset. Although many indie musicians are more inclined to DIY their career with the power of the internet, it is good to remember to appreciate and support those around you. If you do not support others, how can you expect others to support you?

#3 They offer value

Look at the artists or industry individuals you look up to.

What made you choose them as a role model over everyone else? What separates them from the rest of those in the music industry?

It is very rare that I’ve met a president, head of marketing, or even a successful artist who didn’t deserve to be there. Providing a well trained skill, mixed with a lot of talent and hard work, is seen in every female leader.

Knowledge is power and something that no one can take away from you. Figure out what you excel at, and how it can help your career. This is what will create your value and seperate yourself from the rest of the “up and comers.”

#4  They forge their own path regardless of misogyny and stereotypes

If you are a women in business, there are a countless amount of hurdles and frustrating situations you will have to face.

I believe that every situation, positive or negative, presents a valuable lesson. https://cheapigfollowers.com/contact-us/ When these women face unfair challenges in regards to their gender, they push further, work harder, and prove that these old fashioned ideologies are not true.

These are the women who become leaders.

#5 They have an immense amount of love, passion, and drive for what they do

Why are you in the industry that you are working in? What motivates you to get up every day to succeed?

If you are in the industry for the wrong reasons, others will see this sooner than later.

Most often, the successful women that I have met share this one important motive: They have an extreme passion and love for what they do.

It’s often said that those at the top are genuinely nice and hard working, and those in the middle tend to be the users/networkers that are only out for success or recognition.

If you have a genuine love for what you do, the drive to do it, and the skills to make your vision come to life, I truly believe you can achieve any goal you are working towards.
